February 6, 2015 - Russell Manning in Texas sent this superb statement of solidarity with France and principles of free speech. This is the first mail art I have received from Russell. A wide and inspiring variety of “Je suis Charlie” mail-art has been circulating, but this is the first opportunity I have had to blog an example. Here is the reverse side:

I recognize Russell Manning as an active and talented mail-artist, but do not know much more. He does not appear to be an IUOMA member, although he has many IUOMA friends in terms of exchanges. That is why new friendships via the network are always so welcome and renewing.

I look forward to future exchanges and learning more about Russell Manning. Deepest thanks for this excellent “Je suis Charlie” statement.

06.02.15 Dare De Villo S.,  ...put a rubber stamp in Russell Manning's hand & he starts stamping out a haiku....& the "Je Suis Charlie " business  ...Sure, I gladly hop on this band wagon as well...(although,  sometimes I wonder how authentic I really am --- especially if I had to hire some bodyguard just to escort me down to the local mail drop box.....maybe for me... "Je Suis Brian Williams" would be a little more accurate....but I digress--& I "diguess").  A terrific mailing by Russell Manning. Ave uh nez dae. Richard Canard
