Rec'd from Jan Hodgman - October 2015

The two postcards above were received from Jan Hodgman. They are asemic in nature and the last is specifically conceived of as a minimalist/post-minimalist work as well (I never know which term is more appropriate nowadays).

Here's a bit of a story about these pieces: Jan had been kind enough to arrange a surprise blitz campaign of works to my PO box, but due to the USPS's clerical errors, these pieces were all ready to be sent back to her. She did get one piece actually returned to her. The local PO did not put my name on my own PO box, but this problem has (gosh, I hope so) been fixed!

It kind of reminds me of that episode of Seinfeld where Kramer wanted out of the postal system. Based on my experience, it seems to be possible, after all!

Thanks, Jan, for these pieces!
