Minneapolis Gnome's #9 "Another Crappy Mini-Zine" and much more

Ermahgad!!!!!! The Gnome warned me about this mailing, and here it is! As always, in an extraordinary envelope, this time a really nice hand-drawn piece (front and back) about the "right of assembly" which has great importance for us "assemblers" of Mail-Art! Notice that the postage on the envelope is ALL about the same subject -- amazing that you would have all these stamps, Gnome, and be able to put your hands on them when you needed them! And your Gnome artistamp at the end of the line--terrif.

Inside, the "crappy mini-zine" itself. I was very happy to get this, since it relates to a question that has plagued me for many years--the presence of single socks and shoes along the roadways of our land, on our electric wires, etc. A warning--there is nudity in this zine, not frontal, but still....

On the back side of the zine is a very helpful diagram on how to find your missing socks that have been eaten by the dryer.

Gnome also sends me a vast collection of cut-up words, only a few of which are pictured here (because the rest are scattered around my desk, awaiting creation of a crappy poem. AND a pair of glasses, a bookmark, and a doorknob thingie, all for ease in reading the crappy mini-zine which he says was written with "ocular sadism," i.e., small print.

Gnome, you are a Mail Art Super-Star! Thanks so much!!!!

Toni, you are the sweetest - thank you for the three part blog, the compliments and all these fantastic pictures!!!  I don't know how you take such good, clear, well lit photos.  Yours are the best pics I have of these.

You forgot to give yourself credit for mailing me two of those stamps, the "Law and Order" and the "Search for Peace" stamps you gave me in your last mailing served as my prompt for the envelope and other stamps gathered around them.

res, you're right about the UC Davis pepper spraying of peacefully assembled students being the inspiration for the back of the envelope (photos online serving as references).  The reference photo for the front of the envelope came from this incident caught on a security camera: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/rhode-island-officer-kicke...
