Mail-Art from Marie Wintzer (Japan)

It was sparked by my friendly red elephant, and a wedding where Marie was truly there in spirit.  The evidence: I came home from my honeymoon to find a very nice package in the mail.  Judging by the stamps in the front, it could only be sent from Japan.  Turning the package over, there it read, "From: M. Wintzer".  

So, being new to mail-art, it took me some time to figure out what to do with my present.  I looked at it from all angles, opened it up, and looked to see what might come apart to reveal even more.  After some time, I layed it down at the corner of the table where it stayed for several days, and there it became Table-Art.

The posting is a little late, but I've made it this far and in preparation, this morning before work, I took Marie's gift out to the lawn and had a go at some pictures.  

 

And with the biggest hugs, thank you Marie, for bringing some very beautiful art into our lives :)
