It brings memories of my childhood at the beach. My friends and I would lie directly on the sand (no towels for us!) and looked down on any kid who used a towel. No shoes- building up a callous in the hot LA black top.

The Mother's retro bathing suit is cracking me up. I got a welcome to LA guy too-looks like someone posing as an agent promising "I'll make you a star!" Is it any wonder why I love Nadine so much?

So interesting, really. A nice though possibly confused and constrained family man? A (non-anorexic! power!) woman speckled with itchy sands wiping the salt water and/or sands out of the eyes of her bandaided son or grandson. It's hard to tell whether the way he's holding his left arm has specific meaning. I can look at Nadine's people for hours and see all of humanity in them at one time or another.

Thanks Amy ~~~
