Not exactly collage, but somewhere in the general vicinity.

I guess the .gif doesn't automatically play until you click on the image.

So, click on the image to see Abe in glitch.

Thanks Chris, I have a fascination with Mr. Lincoln, and truly dig this photograph of the man [for various reasons]. I could spout that I was thinking of what the Republican party has become at this point in history, the party of Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt . . . now a stumping ground for ???* . . . but, no, my use of this image is mostly because I have an obsession with 19th century photograph and it's dichotomy with photography [and media technology in general] of the 21st century.

*just an fyi, I do not mean to make this sound political. I am not affiliated with any political party [seriously, registered voter as NPP] and hate to talk politics because everyone has their own ideology, and not many people are going to agree on much of anything.

For some reason, this is delightful. Maybe it just works when the 21st century remixes the 19th century. In my experience, this has been true, anyway.

Thanks Gü, thanks Richard . . . music, yes, perhaps the next step for the glitch-werk . . . a friend has been on me to teach myself some of these techniques to see what I come-up with. This is the first "printed" piece . . . and as my pal expected, the ideas are boiling over at this point . . .
