It's great work regardless, yes.

I've been threatening to write a piece about automatic writing and asemics and I'll eventually have to. You don't see a lot about that.

When all is said and done, I think the asemic historians will locate an origin in automatic writing/art of the Surrealists. Take Brion Gysin, for instance, who is a bridge figure.

So I don't think there's any question automatic writing and asemic writing are very, very closely connected. You could locate some differences when meaning occurs or art that deviates away from language.

But, without saying they are two names for the same thing, they are connected and overlapping.

ha. i was wondering if you'd notice that. i thought of it as automatic writing - though i'm not sure where to draw the line between the two or if there even needs to be a line.
