"Wherever you go as an artist you'll find out that he'd already been there" I once read in one of his biographies. The phrase "alternative art reality" had been coined by Helen Amyes from Australia years ago. I think it means a kind of extended individual reality in which the focus of how one looks at things in general has been shifted by dealing with art more or less. "Everybody's an artist except you" stems from Joseph Beuys who had decades ago said this to one of his disciples at Düsseldorf art academy. The guy had shown a painting to his teacher and begun an endless rap about it when Beuys took the thing away from him, turned it around and put it of the floor against the wall saying that he didn't have to look at it at all as the painter obviously could "tell" it much better! On a famous TV interview he also once denied that then Federal Chancellor Mr. Helmut Schmidt any art ability. I'm looking forward to receiving a crushed can from you again. 17.02.17 Dare Ms. Katerina N. & Mister Ernie B., ...& where would any of us be without Kurt Schwitters??? It is always good to be reminded & to see what Ernie Baer is up to as well. ...but I do   wonder  if "Alternative Art Reality" is comparable to "Alternative Facts".  I also approve of  Ernie's statement: "Everybody is an artist except Donald Trump." Although, I also seem to remember  the hearing the phrase " the art of witchcraft " somewhere back there in the past.  Recently I came across (still yet) another(somewhat rare) crushed metal can & am currently saving my pennies for an international mailing to Ms. Katerina N. in hopes she will relay it to Ernie B. again--okay???  Sincelery, Richard C.
