Comment by Guido Vermeulen on November 28, 2011 at 6:47pm: A5 is half A4: maximum size is 5,5 X 8,5 inch; so 4 X 6 is okay.

The problem is that in the US the European A4 is different from what you understand as legale size, which is like A4 but a bit bigger. Most Europeans have no clue about size indications and the difficulties when mentioning things like A5, A4 or A3.
