Call for Art: Sky Grid: An internationally collaborative project

Greetings

I am having an art exhibition in April 2009 at Arts Iowa City: Underground Gallery in the U.S.A. Several hundred guests are expected to visit the show over a span of two weeks.



For one of the pieces in the exhibition, I am asking anyone, from anywhere to email me a color picture of the sky. No buildings, people, horizon--just the sky. Clouds, rain, snow, overcast, sun, sunny, sunset, near dark, early morning--anything!



I am planning on printing the photos and installing them in a large grid or map. My interest is in an international dialogue that contemplates on our shared, global existence without referring to people, landmarks and stereotypes. There will be a sign next to the photographs indicated what country each photograph is from. It will be big, beautiful and international. Please pass this invitation along to friends. The more, the better!



Images need to be smaller than 2 MB in size (preferably smaller than 1 MB), attached to an email and emailed to:

I will email documentation photos to all participants after the exhibition closes.
