Milano is unstoppable and is becoming a brand.

The city has decided to assert its appeal and in conjunction with a marketing strategy developed by a team lead by Maria Chieppa, Central Director for Tourism, Territorial Marketing and Identity at the Municipality of Milan, the City Brand was created.

We created a brand that was not biased but is a brand of the entire city in which all the stakeholders of Milan can identify themselves. It is an ambitious objective which we are working hard on"- Maria Chieppa told Nèo magazine- The city brand has this purpose: when I “buy” the Milan brand I am “buying” the values of Milan. The brand we have created transmits the fundamental values of Milan: Creativity, Innovation, Knowledge, Generosity and Passion.

The Central Director of the Municipality of Milan goes on – “From a commercial perspective we told ourselves: if Milan really does have an appeal, that people really do have a certain image of Milan why not make it possible for people to take this image of Milan home with them? The merchandising project started from there

The catalogue of products with the “Milan” brand will be available on the site www.tourism.milan.it by the end of November, just in time for Christmas shopping.

Also on Nèo at the end of November there’s a special emphasis on “creativity”: from videos that transform simple logos into fantastic locations by taking a virtual journey in the realm of “city branding" or by going above and beyond the limits of art with Jonathan Meese, Wim Delvoye, Marcel-lì Antunez Roca and Stelarc
