Erni's Mummy says: All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go ...

All my bags are packed I'm ready to go
I'm standin' here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye
But the dawn is breakin' it's early morn
The taxi's waitin' he's blowin' his horn

The adventures of Erni's Mummy begins.

Only a half a litre of water left. However this will be needed to climb back out of the canyon.  Mummy decides she can go no further.  I pled with her, but there is no use.  Her mind is made up.  I start to prepare a note.

Down to one litre of water, but the end is in sight

Lol, thanks for the indian name Dean!

Sun rising at Ooh Aah point, must have been breathtaking. Great timing.

Inching our way onwards.  The sun is hot, and so are we.

Don't worry MomKat, we are now at Cedar Ridge.  We still have 3 liters of water left, but the Mummy is drinking more than I expected.  Something will have to give ...

Oh, dear...and now where are you? In the red hot sun...down the trail...with Burning Feet?

Come cool-off her with MomKat-Burning-Feet-Not:

Do take care, and please do not destroy Mummy...maybe you can get it X-rayed to

see what, if anything, is inside?

Take care, Dean xxx

(and that stunning photo of Monument Valley was from google, naturally :-)

The sun came up just when the Mummy reached Ooh Aah point.

But the Mummy trail did not stop there.

The Day of the Setting Sun started at 3:30 am.  It then took me 23 minutes to find the Mummy and camera.

Only time will tell my dear Carina Burning Feet.  Sounds like an indian name.

Good thing I started before the sun came up and it was too dark to see this sign.  Wow, Danger in four langages!  Looks like Mummy might be heading on a one way trip.
