Oberdada Jr.'s Blog (10)

From Kiki

These came today.

Telephone on landline was a really good idea. You didn't have to write text messages, no stupid apps to stalk your whereabouts, and inside it had real bells.

Thanks Kiki!

Immanence

You may have already seen their call for postcards. I sent them this:

Received the Circulaire 132 and catalogue from Lutz Anders

Zine #454 arrived yesterday. Delicately scotched and glued together, a beautiful document.

https://circulaire132.blogspot.com/

You realise that 25 copies is definitely mass communication when you make those copies by hand, like a monk in a medieval monastery.

And also the catalogue from Lutz Anders' Change / Veränderung exhibition came yesterday.

I'm beginning to recognise a few…

Project Space Byi

This is part of the Wrong Biennale which just opened a few days ago. This year's theme is AI, which I'm a bit weary of, although I do participate with mail art and a so-called math poem here:

And I recognise at least one other IUOMA member among the contributions.

From Richard C. All fake!

What kind of a forgery is this supposed to be? Reminds me of that study by Bruner & Postman (sic) in 1949 where they briefly flashed incongruous playing cards, such as black hearts or red spades. That really messed up the test subjects' colour perception.

From Stephan J. Mitterwieser

This one came last week. If you're out of glue just stitch it together with thread!

From Richard C.

These two postcards arrived yesterday. Thanks Richard, if you're here!

An invitation to an exhibition that opened fifty years ago ... well, I suppose it's closed by now. Below is the whole family.

From Lutz Anders

These stamps of linocuts came with a letter earlier this summer. I suppose the idea is to put the stamps on letters and pass them on.

I myself have printed original linocuts directly on a bunch of envelopes, or as much of them as fits on the…

From Antonio Sassu, almost two decades ago

This was the first mail art I received, maybe in 2006 or 2007. Can't remember how it happened, someone just contacted me with a request to exchange something. Then I had nothing to do with mail art until last year.

Post card.…
