From Jan van de Pol, with love

I received another handmade envelope. I'm really enjoying this new possibility of creating my own envelopes with magazine pages. They are charming!

Inside, a lot of kisses and a serious recommendation:

What I liked the most was the artist stamp with the photo of Jan and his partner (so I suppose). …

Fluxus High School

What better way to spend a lazy summer afternoon than going through your school yearbook.  Or for me, cutting up some old yearbooks and making about 200 ATCS to mail out for a new series for the Fluxus High School Yearbook.…

A couple of weeks ago I received a lovely handmade book in the mail from Jennifer, full of prints and drawings. It's beautifully made and flows really nicely. I love printmaking, so this is something I can really appreciate! Below are some photos of a few pages in the book.…

Little Collages from Postage Stamps

I continue to use up my vast horde of old postage stamps.  I’ve spent the week cutting, gluing and making small little collages — each from two or more postage stamps.  Here are some examples.

This what I normally do

I make my own envelopes from anything I can find magazines, flyers and leaflets. If I get more time I often decorate them.

This is was a few days ago and feels like more of crafter's style with eclectic and touch of distress. In saying this I haven't received a richly decorated envelope from crafters. I find that Mail artist have abstract, minimalist style yet full of…

CUT/PASTE-New Collages!

Look at these here:

Bigger and better collages than I`m used to making!

These were done in preparation for an exchange/collaboration with Hugh Brisman (http://wearefuxus.blogspot.ca/) who is a sticker artist from America. It's uncommon for me to work so large, but I got into it, and I love it. I can thank Hugh for forcing me to push my boundries.

Here's a few collages I made, excluding the ones I am sedning to Hugh, as I don't…

Today I use wrapping paper to make envelope. On the back of the paper, I used Japanese paper tearing off and do collages to make more elaborate, even inside the envelope. I could not do well with folding, so I will be careful next time. I learned that when I paste a…
