Why I am involved in Mail-Art:: I never finish large works. In fact I have barely used my hands for art in years, but I would love to do so in a small way that can be finished in a shorter amount of time. I just want something of my art to be somewhere, instead of all lost and forgotten forever. Even if its small and imperfect: this is my gift, such as it is. Let it not take over my life and make me forget to eat and shower and earn money to live, but let it have a place in my life to exist.

You are very perceptive. This "mail art" business will indeed take over your life if you're not careful. I've been at it practically all my so-called "adult life" & the situation has become over the years monumental & hopeless simultaneously.If you are looking for a place to send to things to---I suspect that I could shove one more artful missive into one of the umpteen cardboard boxes situated here plus I just noticed a spot in the garage that should be able to accommodate a coupla new boxes. Or is the idea of your art sitting in a cardboard box in a garage in Carbondale, Illusion the same thing as being "all lost & forgotten forever"?
