Why I am involved in Mail-Art:: I write Haikus and am intrigued with how the meaning of a phrases can be changed by rearranging the placement of one word.Very similar to adding or erasing a line in a drawing—the same but different.

So - this is my most recent (almost) Haiku. (I know the syllable count is not quite right - but of course what the right number of syllable is is a whole separate discussion).

"Bees in my roof,

the ceiling throbs,

mellifluous."

In a prose explanation, I could explain that there literally is honey oozing from my ceiling - and that sometimes I find bee larvae on my pillow - and that I get stung by wayward bees about twice a night - all as a result of the renegade bees which have made a nest in my roof! Compounding it all is the fact that I attended a bee keeping course, and set out to 'catch' a wild swarm - which seem to have been deliberately laughing in my face by settling not in their prepared designated, propolis smeared spot, but.,..in my roof above my bed!
