An animal skull bought back from a cycling holiday in Greece, another music centre (this one is for cassettes: remember cassettes?), and some rock 'n roll music books. A Keith richard cut out is watching over the skull. Or vice versa.

Bonjour Erni! No, I rarely throw things away...but I did leave lots of stuff with my ex when i moved down to France ten years ago. She keeps threatening to throw it out, and I keep promising to go and get it before she does, but nothing ever happens. When I stopped University teaching I sold about 130 meters of textbooks to the University of Maastricht Library. Sometimes I give books away, when there is no space for them -- and here is never any space for them.

I saw the Kabakov exhibition/installation which is now in Oslo. It was good.

If you are interested in collecting, here's a couple of things you might want to follow up:

i) Robert Opie, and the Robert Opie Collection. He's also behind the Museum of Memories and the Museum of Advertising & Packaging -- from what I've seen about the latter Opie has NEVER thrown anything away in his life;

ii) a brilliant book, and a brilliant collector: Marilyn Gelfman Karp, 'In Flagrante Collecto'

Other references if you need them...

...from Val, with regards
