Thanks Erni, phrases, meanings and their origins fascinate me. Oddly we continue to use phrases that seem often to have sinister origins! I'd like to explore ones outside of the English language a bit more too.

Erni, I think the stamps are an artistic arrangement - there was sufficient postage, they're quite on it here about that.

Dean I really hope the card is waiting for you I sent it ages ago, if not I'll have to log it in the lost mail art group and do you something else. You sent me such a great view from the loo of the Shard, I feel like I've been now ;-) As for the Tour de France it's on stage 3 in Cambridge today, I'll read about it later, I still believe it would have been a nightmare to attend, I couldn't move Saturday at the station there for lycra clad peddle pushers! Anyway, I've been on art exhibition duty today and kindly the person I was on with this afternoon let me go as their fella wanted to keep 'em company - So I went to a really fantastic student exhibition! Good start to the week so far.

Happy it arrived.  Yes, save your pennies and knock the Shard off your to do list before the windows get dirty!

Last day of the Tour de France in the UK.  You still have time to get out there.  Other UK items coming your way.  No I didn't receive anything from you yet, but hope it is there upon my return.
