Of Paris Pickpockets: I find pickpockets really annoying, they prey on generally honest andun-expecting people.
However here in Paris sometimes they considered themselves Artist.
Many are very proud of their profession, and take pride into studying new ways of “lifting” cash and cards.
My co-workers are often pickpocketed, and they have no idea how it happens. They are in the metro (underground, subway, tube), their handbags are zipped shut. Their wallet is inside the handbag, also
zipped shut, and a latchy thing inside of that, which then contains the cash and credit card. The next thing you know it is they zip open the handbag, pull out the wallet, unzipper it, undo the latchy thing, and to their surprise … money and cards gone.
This wallet comes from an eighty year old woman who was shopping in the Moufftard market. It contained eighty Euros in it, and no credit card. I wouldn’t say that I am necessarily proud of having it on this card, as it really wasn’t a challenge. But this eighty year old woman did try to push her way in front of me when I was buying my bananas.
