I am trying to learn how to draw. One technique from an art journaling book I'm working with is to apply a thin layer of gesso over a magazine image and then draw over it. So I'm actually tracing the photographic image and putting my own clumsy spin on it with colored pencils. Part of my passion for rubber stamps is fueled by my lack of drawing ability. I'm just trying to stretch myself a bit and have fun with it. Supposedly after you make a bunch of these your raw drawing ability improves. We'll see!
