A cassette I advertised for free in Beef Magazine in 1985 for free. Henning Metnedorff's art work. I think 6 or 7 people asked for a free copy. It's hard to even give good art work away.

Amen.
I have about 900 45's, 800 33's, 1000 cassettes and NO digital music wwhatsoever.
I also have some video casset, but remember trying to record something from the radio on a big ole Grundig machine.
I bought a great vintage Sony Walkman cassette/radio at a flea market 2 weeks ago. Alas the cassette player doesn't play, but the radio and the Walkman are fine.
It was an analog world for sure. There is nothing like a reel of 1/2 inch Ampex recording tape. Or a box of 100 blank high bias 60 minute cassette tapes ready for the dubbing. Tape never betrayed anyone. Unlike the untrustworthy digital world where art can be lost in a heart beat. Times do change. But I am happy to say I still have my Tascam 8 track and box of qtips on hand to keep the tape heads clean. It's comforting to see it still in the studio. God save the tape recorder.
God Save the Queen!
1985 -- black and white photocopies, cassettes, postal mail art: those were the days!
