I received a copy of Attic assembling zine (15) (because I'm in it). Nicola Winborn (Yorkshire, UK) is doing phenomenal work putting out numerous issues already. This is an opportunity to participate in a zine that is working well. I believe she welcomes contributors. (An assembling zine is a bit more work than simply sending to a zine.)

Issue six of The Rubber Postcard (my mail art rubber stamp assembling zine).  Submissions are open for issue seven.

Guidelines are as follows:
Postcard size work: 4x6 inches (10.16x15.24 centimeters)
Rubber stamp/eraser/found stamp work only. A small amount of drawing or coloring in is ok but not excessively so. No collage please(there are plenty of other zines for that kind of work). 13 multiples or individual pieces signed and numbered. Only original hand stamped work please(no photocopies). There is no theme.

Deadline: Ongoing(issues will be sent out as enough work arrives to be collated).

Current address is on my profile if you need it.

Jeff, I'm happy to hear that your orange Attic Zine finally arrived! It took long enough, for sure!

Thanks so much for your thoughts on starting an assembling zine. It was good for me to hear ideas from someone with experience. I'm glad that you shared your experiences, and what it takes to manage a project of that size. The cost, for example, was not something I had thought of.  That was good information!

It usually takes me a long time to start a project because I overthink everything. It may be awhile before I take on a project this size. I have to "think about it." :-)

Thanks again for your response. It was a pleasure hearing from you. I enjoyed the photos of your Orange Zine too! Nicola does beautiful work, both in her own art as well as in assembling the zine.

Take care.

Terry

Attic Zine, Orange 1, copy #12. Beautiful job of assembling with handwritten contributor list and gorgeous cover. Some stunning contributions as well. Can't wait for the next call.
