are there any volunteers for the research?

a few days ago they didn't want to receive my envelope at the post office.

The reason was the ADDRESS WRITTEN IN RED.

They say that any color can be used except red.

Red is supposedly for controllers.

If anyone has mail from me or anyone else addressed in red pen, please send me a photo.

I would also like someone to send me a mail-art addressed in red pen. Systems and rules should be broken if they are imposed without reason.

here is the Coca-Cola color, everyone knows that color, so you can have a reference point.

I'm kidding now.

I will not give up, I will try to send again. red address!👾

you can now use my card as proof that it works, lol

I think everyone should be familiar with the idea of a red laser.  Modern mail processing equipment is highly mechanized for efficiency both as to throughput and cost savings over manual handling.  If the text is written in red, it makes detection difficult, the mailpiece is routed for additional handling which slows everything down.  If you want your Mail Art to move efficiently, then heed the official line on how your mail is addressed and franked.

If you want to provide a more interesting experience, then go ahead and test the system, but keep in mind that "breaks" in throughput may result.  Sometimes a counter clerk may impose some interruption based on what they know and observe with such pieces.  I like to occasionally challenge the process in some way.  One such "pressure test" of the USPS system is the amount of information provided for the addressee (destination address).  With the introduction of the 9-digit Zip Code, it became possible for U.S. Post Office Box users to simply write a name and the 9-digit Zip Code such as follows:

Bradford

57732-0676

The reason this works is because the 9-digit Zip Codes' 4-digit extension exactly specifies the destination.  This will not work for most street addresses because the 4-digit extension indicates a range of addresses on that delivery block.

There are other tweaks and experiments possible, but they bear reporting in another setting. I would always recommend providing a complete return address so that at least the mailpiece is returned instead of disappearing.

In short, have fun, but remember that results may vary.

Thanks Bradford.

I was confused at first, but later I came to a similar conclusion. Of course with fewer professional expressions and words.😉 !

Thanks anyway.
