at first glance, the idea is to associate it with some kind of notebook. Later, I also published a story that explains the number (the code) from the picture, looking back and connecting the work of the Serbian Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić *roadside signs* and the scientist Nikola Tesla*the code* ...
Mark,
thanks for the comment.
It is the cycle of Ethnostill works from 2023. The exhibition deals with the study of symbolism from the traditional embroidery on the national costume of Serbia with symbols from the past and present. The name alludes to the fact that women wrote letters and numbers on canvas with a needle and thread, and they were literally uneducated, some even completely illiterate. In this picture, specifically, there are three numbers and a half embroidered flower, the contour of the needle, and the thin lines in the background are characteristic of a specific material called Serbian cloth. This was later used as ex libris for the traditional cultural heritage library.
I don't know how to speak in my non-native language, but I tried🧐!?
And what does a step AFTER formal education look like?
