@- Carmela - I can only imagine where all of the stamps will end up. I might send out collections of them for folks.

@- Ilya - Oh for sure, I know I'll end up making these into other things. I might do a whole cut up thing with them when I get them laid out.

@-Zack - I wish I could put them together to use all themed, but I don't have the patience of the time to make that work. I guess I'll grab them out of the box as needed.

@-Patricia - sure, why not.

@-Richard - Thank you so much for the kind words. I was more than thrilled that he would be willing to give away such a collection. Sometimes I forget that people actually read these silly things I write and the things I post.

23.O9.21 Dare Jon Foster,  ...read your appreciative & praise worthy Stamps/Anteater blog... & Kudos to Mister Sam Y. for his thoughtful decision & insight in 'what- to- do 'with the batch of stamp ephemera ... A wise decision on Sam Y's part as John Foster is most deserving & will (I'm sure )sooner or later design many, many  postal  & artful delights to be dispersed throughout the network. It is a treat to read about & witness such thoughtful & appreciative decision making nowadays. SinCelery, Richard

ah, paperphilia! great write-up.

your lively description of the newfound trove (may have) inspired me to sort through the growing pile of (cancelled) stamps on my desk and 'organize' them...thematically? geographically? by color?... further adventures in mail art await...

Hello Jon:

Very interesting essay, thank you. You could use postage stamps and envelopes to make collages.

Hi Jon, --I enjoyed reading about your zoo escapade. You made quite a haul and the mail artists of the world will treasure those stamps. RE: flamingos--the pink color comes from the dye in the food that they eat in the wild lakes.
