I like the statement about why you are involved in Mail Art: "It is free of judges. Art is not a contest."

Those last two photos you posted are quite dynamically vivid.

OK, I won't tell you 'No me digas', Bruno. Instead, I'll tell you thanks for all the miscellaneous bits and pieces that you sent me. Some of them will probably be 'reycyled' to other people, and so have their 'life' extended. If mine continues for a week or so, I'll be mailing you something back. Regards, Val

Bonjour Guido!

Thanks very much for the collage card that you sent me. I have no idea what 'No me digas' means -- but hope that it is something friendly and/or seasonal.

I hope that you had a good Xmas, and send you my best wishes for 2013.

When the New Year finally comes in, I'll be mailing you a 'Goodies Envelope'.

In the meantime, thanks again & regards, Val

Guido, recibi tu arte postal.  Me encantó!

Bonjour Guido!

Thanks for the great collage that you sent me. Love the framed heart on the reverse: this Valentine doesn't often get Valentines in the month of December!

How come you have two addresses -- Guatemala and Arizona?

I'll be mailing you back something at the end of the week.

Thanks again & regards, Val

Guido guatemalteco, this is probably the last but certainly not the least welcome to The Eternal Network from a celestial mail artist living in a heavenly corner of the faraway Universe called Republik van Patland.  I would like to be the other end here at IUOMA when you decide it’s the right time for you to start trading art.  If that´s the case at the time your envelope should read as follows:

The Celestial Scribe
Caixa Postal 24827
Curitiba-PR
80510-970
Brazil

II look forward to see your piece in my terrene mailbox.  Yes! I will do my homework after receiving yours.  This is a celestial promise.  I’m Patricio, Celestial Scribe & Envelope Provider.

Dear Guido ,

Bonjour and Welcome to IUOMA!

It's a great bunch of folks and I hope that you enjoy exchanging Mail Art with us. I'm your Mentor, and if I can help to ease you into IUOMA in any way, then please don't hesitate to ask and I'll try to explain what's going on and how IUOMA works.

If you haven't already done so, I suggest you take a look at the 'New to IOUMA' page (4th from the left at the top of the IUOMA home page) where you'll find a 10-point Introductory Guide that should give you an insight as to what is going on.

You have to get started somewhere, and I wonder if you would like to exchange some Mail Art with me? If so, send me something to 1 Rue de la Vieille Fontaine, F-11130 Sigean, France, and I PROMISE to send you something back.

Hoping you enjoy your IUOMA days.

Regards,

Val Herman
