Gabriel Nathanael Rossmiller (August 7, 2006 - November 13, 2010) as painted by Guido Vermeulen of IUOMA fame.

My time and credibility for condolences has long since passed, but my drive to bury him within the depths of my psyche remains unchanged.

If art cannot be therapy enough, what can?

It’s a beautiful painting by Guido of a beautiful Gabriel. Both are not forgotten (and maybe they meet and chat in heaven or on a cloud or whatever place).

Credibility for condolences never stops and burying a dear one in depths of one’s psyche may give contrary effect. Just embrace him with your thoughts and keep him alive in your and his mom’s heart, and create art, and/or sing to him.

My mom lost her brother at the age of 5 so she remained an only child. She and my grandma ‘buried’ their pains for decades, to not ‘hurt’ each other (and us) with their grief, I think.  And not before my grandma passed away my mom dared to hang a photo and painting of her little brother on the wall. She was in her fifties then.  Meanwhile my own brother and I had felt their unspoken pain under our skins, and the loss of the dear little boy has influenced all of our lives.
When my mom was in her last days, September 2020, I took the photo of her brother to her and told her that she might meet him soon (even though we don’t believe in a heaven, but there might be a nice cloud or star reserved up there), and I told that it was okay, and while she couldn’t speak anymore, I saw and thoroughly felt that she thought it okay, too. More than eighty years after this loss.
