As a new member to this group, and about to embark on a new piece to send off to this isolated island, I have a question? Since the island is small, and has a small population, what will they do with the influx of wonderful mail? Is there a designated Archivist? Do they even know that these pieces are arriving. Are you the Liaison, Mikel?  Now back to work on a new piece.

A little envelope and a postcard on its way. Someone else did the sewing and embroidery for the sweet little envelope.

To send mail art to Tristan da Cunha is certainly a must.  To get there has no name.

"Firstly, no one disembarks in the only city (Edinburgh of the Seven Seas) without permission from the local government, which can be achieved by following in the footsteps of the island's official website. They come and go with documents, information and payments that can make the wait last a year. Then, you need to get a seat on the boats that make the round trip to and from there. The accounts are from Cape Town and a very low offer: 10 per year, with only 12 free seats for passengers in 90% of them.

Finally, the traveler still needs to hope that São Pedro is in a good mood, because no ship sets sail in bad weather - neither on the way out nor on the way back"  Oh Lord!!!!!

It is just 9,125 kilometers from Thessaloniki, Greece!

...sending mail art to the most remote island in the world!

sent to the postal workers at Tristan da Cunha:

mail is faster if addressed:

"via Cape Town, South Africa"

and hops over by plane...or boat:
