Smiles & Smirks

Art with a measure of humour is required by Walmarth Corporation for its chain of supermarkets, located in the Queendom of Retailia and in Cascadia Artpost. Through this collaboration Cascadia Artpost and Mail Art Martha are continuing to give impulse to Trashpo, the artistic vision of Diane Keys.

‘Walmarth Corporation is an entertaining and witty parody of corporate, consumer culture. Cascadia Artpost’s painstaking realization of Mail Art Martha’s ideas through detailed, special effects style models makes Walmarth Corporation one of the crowning achievements of Trashpo in the half-decade that it has been producing a large quantity of art.’

In addition to Trashpo the Corporation has now expanded to include political satire, parody, comics, caricature and witty playfulness.

Jenn, thanks very much for your fantastic contribution. Please congratulate the artist! Can we have her name?

How appropriate Jenn.  Lovely photo. Reminds me also of that great French film the Red Balloon  https://youtu.be/RIdhwLG6ucw

Katerina, your post reminded me of this photograph. :)

My best friend’s sweet daughter as a Banksy work for her COVID art class assignment a few weeks ago.

Michael great ads. Fit for the Coffee Clutch. But I cannot work out quite how the Rubber Stamp rack works. Obviously I am not as bright as a hen! A symptom of the  Covid-19?

Katerina, I agree with Sabrina, all those pictures are very funny but the 'illigal gathering' is hilarious.. I laugh everytime I remember it, which is often. So I go around gigling to myself, which added to what I said to Michael is worrying.

Taking into account the ecological and social consequences of avocado farming that's maybe the expression every avocado should have.

Love the "this gathering is illegall", haha!
