I'm just interested to see how many mail artists in the UK right now. Are you one?

Some stamps that me and Vittore Baroni in Italy collaborated on a couple of years ago.

Sad news just in that Dawn lost her long fight with cancer recently. Deepest sympathy goes out to all her friends and family.Continue

Mark Pawson did a lovely long rambling talk at the PV of the exhibition and said in effect that these things look very nice in vitrines and framed up beautifully but mail art really is "taking part" and you can't just show a tiny fraction of it and expect people to undertsnad what it's like to receive things in the post every day for 40 years and all the interactions that go on "behind the scenes" - the scenes being many networks and many "nodes" and every mail artist has their own "node" that is different from everybody else's. It says it's a "glimpse" and thats what it is.
I do get the irony - I really do!
Glad the poster etc. arrived. Here's a short video the library staff made -https://gramho.com/media/2142130003654029333
Glad you enjoyed it Jennifer. There is a lot to see - we keep spotting things we'd put in the exhibition and forgotten about ourselves! We had to leave a lot of good stuff out too which is a shame. They promised us more cabinets but they didn't materialize! Was the bowler hat shaped post box in place? Did you get a chance to play with the rubber stamps?
Float on......
I think it will not be long before we will be using plain old 'England'.
I have artistamps from the 'Disunited States of America' so maybe we could follow suit . . . or should we be banging the drum and emphasise the 'United'?
Two brilliant answers giving me new perspectives and plenty to think about. I wonder how the rest of the world think of us (if at all)? It seems that U K is the one to go for (as I already do) both pedantically and romantically though I am determined to try 'Ukogbania' as soon as . . .
Officially we have one the longest names of all world states; "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland", which I take to mean the United Kingdom (of the two kingdoms England&Wales + Scotland) plus N.I. But who has big enough envelopes for that?
Just 'England' or 'Scotland' are unambiguous but not fully correct for those with literal minds, UK or GB should be enough but doesn't it theoretically exclude Northern Ireland? So I advocate the term 'Ukogbania' to include everyone.
