. . . so I am thinking, Ooh, Blog post, I can keep a journal about what I am up to and all the hows and whys and rambling thoughts but then I look about and see that most people seem to use it only as a 'thank-you card' for what they have received so I am thinking should I bother? Would anyone read it and would it be worth the effort and can I spare the time?  I could restrict the readership I suppose and run on silent mode so to speak but I ask again, why bother?  Perhaps I shall wait and see what response, if any, I get from this.  perhaps I should leave it in the hands of the Gods and my fellow lunatic poster.  Is there anybody out there?

I certainly read the blogs, so go for it.  Myself, I never have enough time.  I do blog "thank yous" and I love to see my work pop up in someone else's blog.  But most of the little free time I have is spent in creating.  Besides I'm a terrible writer.  I'm saving the world from my grammer.

I like the blogs and usually write something to acknowledge receipt of mail art. It's mostly a way to share other people's work. And, of course, I feel really cool when someone blogs about my stuff! Because I'm a dork. I think most of us are, at least secretly.

mary anne , I wish people did write/blog about their art and why it is looking the way it does. I am always experimenting. I hear a lecture about Daniel Libeskind BAHM  gotta try some architectural drawings (style) . See the word "mashup" BOOM gotta try it (my way)  There's a thought process in everything we do. Too bad we aren't sharing it. It could only be a win win for everyone. Blog, dearest, if that's your inclination.

If you want to write about the work then you should, if you don't then...don't. I love reading about mail-art and spend a lot of time doing it, but I do it mainly for myself. Mail-art is a punk rock, you do it because you love it and if others find and enjoy what you're doing, all the better.

Here's my bullshit.

I sometimes just post randomely stuff on my iuoma blog, like a photo of a place I visited or something like that. I don't think many people see it, but it is not really some effort for me, so I just do.
