Cheryl, it just meant I really value you as a friend. I hope you can take a look at the blog I just posted about Karen Champlin's art. The middle section is about vispo. There is a short reference to your painting. At the bottom you'll get an idea where I am with layering. I'm sending you something in the mail today.

Cheryl, I'm sorry. You know how I feel about your painting. I kept going to look at it. I just saw this great quote: "All the waters of the sea cannot wash away the blood of intellectuals." I'm pretty certain it means that ideas are responsible for more damage in this world than most other things. This is the thing with postmodernism, art and intellectualizing don't neceassarily go well together. Theorists and critics are better left to talk about the art after it's finished. They do enough damage even then.

And I meant you'll get chewed up and spit out like the Librarian. All I need is Elaine pissed at me too.

Hi Cheryl, so it comes down to layering. I can see that. I just don't know what the chances are that you might destroy something that's basically OK. Where are the visual-verbal people? David-Baptiste Chirot should look at it. He knows all about this stuff. He's not here right now.

The "Solo for Violin" photo is very powerful. People have responded to say so.

I wish some people who are artists would go to your website and check in on your painting. But nobody's going to listen to me because I'm being accused of founding scientology.

Speaking of which, there's an artist in Minnesota who was using monkeys to do his mailart and scanning. He admitted to it. Would you want mailart from a monkey if the artist said he was really Ray Johnson?

Cheryl, don't respond to this latter part or you'll be right in the middle of a schism and you'll get chewed up and spit out by the Librarian.

I would love to see more of your Breugel work, I've been sneaking through your website and I'm really intrigued. I am so excited with this opportunity to share work and ideas with such a talented artist. I usually write about artists, rarely do I actually work with them.

YES YES YES!! Thank you!! I've already mailed you back a small thing, but I will be sending a journal entry soon. Thank you for the card, I am crazy excited to trade with you! Even my dog Fonzie sent a little note this time. I am also interested in the work you have on the wall behind your profile photo- looks like you are working with Breugel?
