Perofrations are done with a 100 year old printer's tool - a cast iron perforator that has a metal "comb" that perforates the paper when you depress a foot peddle.

Maybe it's more accurate to say the situation in New Orleans was about situational ethics vs professional responsibility.

I haven't read "5 Days @ Memorial" but some years back the NY Times published an in depth piece about what happened there during Hurricane Katrina. I still share it with co-workers whenever I can because it allows for debate re: professional ethics. The hospital I work in now has a stand and defend policy which means in the event of a disaster, we are going to display our "emergency worker" tags and find a way to get to work...prepared to stay there for as long as necessary. The biggest concern in these parts are hurricanes and flooding.

Thank you very much, Petrolpetal, for your surprising mail art!

I already received it some weeks ago, but only now finally found time to scan and publish it (due to the Bird and the Feline on my Real Weird Animals blog).

Thank you!!

PPS. Robin Moore also lives in Darlington, but her Darlington is in the USA, and, sensible woman, she does NOT support Darlington (1883)
