This guy struggling to hold down the flying whatever,

is David Stafford in New Mexico, with a "BatMan Octopus"?

I see an octopus...A Greek/Chinese octopus, blue even, and with a ancient coin, duh:

and the "art side" of the card..is a fine Lady with a big Circle Hat:

(sailed the Big Pond and went to the Royal Wedding, perhaps?)

A true enchanting David Fashion statement!

Thanks xxx

and for the "circle smile" postage, too:

No more Necco wafers and no more valentine heart candy with the incised "Be Mine." These, truly, are the end times, Nancy. Gather ye Necco Wafers while ye may. We shall not see their like again until the rapture. (We'll also be reunited with Fizzies after the Rapture).

What?! They've stopped making Necco Wafers?! Shouldn't that be against some law? Maybe even a law of nature. My agony over this is final confirmation that I'm over the hill. Or some hill.

They stopped making them this year. Sigh....another piece of our past erased. Interior decorators say it will be more difficult to assign colors without the complicated and edible Necco system at our disposal.'

oooh, fond childhood memories of Necco wafer candies :-)

Yes, that's a Necco Wafer Fascinator, one of the last of its kind. Great and very thorough blog, Katerina. Thank you.
