Hello Roddy,
Very sorry to admit that I don't check my IUOMA page very often....I just found
your invitation about a panel discussion....probably a bit too late now, but keep me posted
for future events. I am writing about mail art and it's importance as the precursor to
net.art All too often I've found very little factual information about the 1980s and early
1990s contributions that mail artists made to artwork on the internet. I'd like to correspond
with you in regard to a NetArt Manifesto that I wrote in November last year. It was posted
here on the IUOMA site, but strangely, there was very little reaction. I'm also trying to
get some university help to revive the internet's first online virtual art museum, The Electronic Museum of Mail Art (EMMA) BTW, my email is jackkidmusic@gmail.com.....or snailmail to PO Box 151, Hancock, NH 03449. I wish I had met Robert Filliou. I did meet and perform with John Cage in Boston at an art opening of his edible handmade papers (1987). You may already know that I titled my anthology ETERNAL NETWORK (1995, U. of Calgary Press) after Robert Filliou...it was also a big nod to Fluxus' major contributions to mail art.

Roddy, this is a friendly welcome to The Eternal Network from a celestial mail artist born and raised in a heavenly corner of the faraway universe called Republik van Patland. A perfect start here is mail-art exchange. I would love to be the other end when you decide it’s the right time for you to start trading art. If that’s the case at the time, your envelope should read as follows:
The Celestial Scribe
Caixa Postal 24827
Curitiba-PR
80510-970
Brazil
II look forward to see your piece in my terrene mailbox. Yes! I will do my homework after receiving yours. This is nothing less than a celestial promise. I’m Patricio, Celestial Scribe & Envelope Provider
