Your Excellency! Allow me to present my credentials and salutations from the Independent Republic of the Old Fountain de Sigean, and to thank you for your wonderful envelope. It's great -- and La Poste worked out where it was supposed to be delivered.

I have an envelope project that might interest you called 'An envelope a day/Un envelope chaque jour'. You can find details of it on my site www.val-herman-art.eu, under 'Envelope art' and then 'Envelope a Day'. My envelopes are not (always) as bizarre (in the nicest possible sense of the word) as yours,  because I need to have all 365 delivered for my Exhibition this summer, and can't risk non-deliveries.

Also, do you know the book called 'Envelopes' by Harriet Russell? She is a graphic artist who mailed herself all sorts of strange envelopes and challenged the British Post office to deliver them. Sometimes they did, but sometimes the puzzles that she had set it were too difficult and she never saw her envelopes again;

Your excellency, from the depths of Cathar country we are sending you some greetings tomorrow.

Cordialement, Val
