The artist Jean-Francois Aillet invites you to collect your sample of sand from a moraine, from next to a waterfall or beside a river, along the shore of a lake or a stream, in a desert or on the border of an ocean. One should not, however, send him sand from a construction site. You are asked to document your collection of the material with a photo, taken as you are pouring the sand into a container. For an example, kindly visit his home page at www.aillet.com . English : http://www.aillet.com/traductions/anglais.htm
See you to take part in this international project.

Hi John, I can confirm the natives are friendly, food is cheap and the wine is perfect, (the shop on the corner even opens the bottle for you!) so I am positive that you are going to enjoy your residency as much as I am enjoying mine:~)

The list is arranged alphabetically & it seems that everyone whose last initial began with P (partial list) to Z in the USA list was inadvertently omitted. FYI: I'm one of the omitted. I'm sure anyone who was omitted would appreciate an erratum page or other 'fix'. Thanks!
John---the magnificent catalog for the Gutai exhibition arrived. Unfortunately some of the USA contributors to the Mail Art response were mistakenly omitted. My thanks to you and your team for an otherwise flawless production.
Congratulations on the wonderful exhibition at SFAI! I was delighted to be included. I spent time several weeks ago perusing the mail and was overwhelmed with the number of entries, large and small. Thanks for all your effort (and that of your collaborators) for a classy installation. I look forward to receiving the the documentation.
PS: I posted a photo of the exhibition on the IUOMA's Shozo Shimamoto page.
