I sent something out for you tonight! It requires a tiny bit of assembly on your part but hopefully it will be worth it! <3

Hi Theresa

I just arrived today from San Fransisco. Was there since Oct. 26.  I found your beautiful Halloween giant card. Will photograph and post as soon as posible. i just llove it. Thx. I did see some snow from the airplane on my way to SF. A view of the Rocky Mountains. I had a great time.

Hi Theresa. I adore Plath. I seem to be smitten by women poets. I'm not sure what it is - perhaps it's the tone or voice of the author. Perhaps I just like the poet and most of them happen to be women. Yes, I think that's it! It's been a while since I've read Roethke. I remember reading The Lost Son and the Waking. The voice of his poems, the way he viewed  and interpreted life stood out to me. Some good stuff. I must revisit him soon. Have you read any poetry from Nicholas Samaras? He's a lot more recent. He uses themes like identity - finding it or lack of it, and he likens travel to a journey through life. His images are rich and his poems are very direct and full of sound.

Hello! How are things? I got your chapbook in the post today. It seems the postal system is purring away nicely. I'm delighted to get your chapbook. It's stunning! You can see I've blogged it here: http://iuoma-network.ning.com/profiles/blogs/galaxy-mail-theresa-williams I want to review it when I've finished. If that's okay with you on my personal blog.  Have a great weekend!

I couldn't help myself.  I sat down to read the first few of your poems from The Galaxy to Ourselves  (which arrived today!) and here I still am, having read right to the end, gripped. I will go now and order a copy for my poet friend, Sam King, who sent me the Anna Adams book last week.  She will love it too. THANK YOU. Glad you got my Epistolarium stuff too. Can't wait to see what other people imagine.

Very good to hear, that they're helpful, thank you for telling me. It's funny, there isn't any one particular thing that seems too personal, but taken as a whole they are, so your decision is right to me. I think it's because you inspire people to get to the heart of the matter. And that's personal. If you ever want to post or refer to any certain part of a letter, I'm sure that would be fine with me; but not posting the whole thing will be freeing for the future.

Some pieces of your writings, on the other hand, will appear in a blog by me at some point. I'm very behind on all that, but once the catching-up starts, the right moment/place will be clear, I'm sure.

You're very welcome, Theresa. Swimming with ideas--that's good. I try to swim with them at least once a week, haha. Writing might happen again soon. You may have unleashed a monster.

Theresa, the first sandwich arrived 2 days ago and I've been reading and living with it since (including letter), and am breaking my little philosophy to tell you it strikes a big chord with me. It inspires. It makes a person think "Oh *I* want to do that!" This probably means I will write a letter sooner this time, simply because I can't not. Thank you!
