Almost 2 weeks ago, I received THE ARTISTAMP REVUE #7 which Adam Roussopoulos graciously shared with me although I sadly did not contribute anything. It is the most outstanding issue thus far so I regret not providing any work for inclusion in such august company.

Almost 2 weeks ago, I received THE ARTISTAMP REVUE #7 which Adam Roussopoulos graciously shared with me although I sadly did not contribute anything. It is the most outstanding issue thus far so I regret not providing any work for inclusion in such august company.

Adam also included many other things such as two of his new artistamp sheets. Both the hexagonal flower sheet and the John Held Jr., sheet (page 6) exhibit what I'll call "advanced perforation technique". The variety and quality overall are what make this issue important, but one should note the degree of collaboration in several cases exhibited amongst the featured pages.

I like the WANTED POSTER which Adam whimsically crafted and included helped by, I assume, an early morning photo of himself just after rising with "bed hair".

The B&W rubber stamp sheet doubles as a personal letter on the verso which explains a collaboration project that Adam and Sticker Dude are working on. As Adam writes:

Sticker Dude & Thomas Kerr had made a mock rubberstamp catalog in the late 90s. Sticker Dude & I are revisiting these images along with mine and I am creating [a] 7.9" x 11.6" layouts that we are sending to Casey at Casey's Stamps in NY to actual[ly] make for us. The postcard I sent you was our 1st sheet. I just got them back!!

Now you know the source for the mailing envelope which could stand alone in the ENVELOPES ONLY group as somewhat of a masterpiece of rubber stamp art. In fact, I studied it for several days before even opening it to review THE ARTISTAMP REVUE #7 enclosed therein. I saw right away something old (and familiar) and something new.

Usually I select just a few images to share here in blog format, but warranted complete documentation here.

Enjoy!
