The Spirograph set I've been playing with. I think I found it in an op shop for a few coins and put it in my stash. We had a set when I was a kid too but in a family of six it didn't get often. It came with a little book that explain the equations.

Funny you call them “gears”.  I knew this as Spirograph when I was a kid and I liked using it a lot.  I saw a small plastic package of these for sale on the sidewalk in front of an art supply store in Istanbul so I got a set.  They are totally cool.  You inspire me to pull them out again.

Yes, I've had a few gears for years in my junk and I thought I'd have a bit of a play with them.

We had a Spirograph (where is it now?)  I liked it, but my brother was more interested in football than art so it was essentially mine.
