mail art from Jen Staggs

Jen, I love Wonder Woman! Too bad there are so few female superheros.  Thanks for corresponding with me, a fellow Texan.  I think you are just as hot up there in Dallas, if not hotter than we are here in Austin.  It's a good day for mail art. …

away from home

I'm sorry new mail friends, I've been out of state visiting my elderly aunt in Traverse City Michigan.  I mailed post cards to family and friends, but did only one mail art card.  Now I have arrived home to lots of fun and incredible visual treats in my mail pile.  I'll work for the next couple of days getting cards out to those who sent them to me.  I'm seeing some great stamps and images and faux postage from a variety of people.  I am such a beginner in all this, I hope you all will bare… Continue

a card from Linda Ward

I love tourist postcards, and this one from Linda Ward from Hawaii is great!

Thanks Linda.

I found this zippered pouch at my local independent book store, Bookpeople in Austin.

I knew I'd be sorry if I didn't buy it, and I knew I'd never find the materials to make something this great myself...

I finished a few cards to send out.  This series is made from bird seed bags and are made from scraps remaining after making shopping bags.  I love the graphics on the bags and the woven plastic is an interesting material to work with.…

My first mail art arrived!

Many thanks to Mim for being the first to put mail art in my box.

I love it!  It looks like you've been at this a while since you have used a lot of official-looking but humorous stamps.

I really appreciate how welcoming everyone has been, I have a set of cards I will finish and begin sending out today.
