Valentine Mark Herman's Blog (100)

Only to be looked at WITH your parents' permission. "Ladies in Red: the Impressionists meet the Playboy Bunnies"

Here is another Great Big Collage. This one shows some surprising similiar poses bertween Monet, Manet et al's and Heffner's model harems.

Most of the Ladies in Red kept most of their clothes on.

Which is more than can be said for the next few young ladies.…

Is it Art or Sex? (And is there a difference?)

Bonjour!

Here is my latest Great Big Collage. It is called "Great Big Collage 3: Is it Art or Sex?"

Here are some close ups of it (the Great Big Collage, that is, not, certainly not, the sex):

Another Lady in White; This one is wondering 'What…

BREAKING NOSE: Sigean Standardisation Committe reports on new, revised size of ATCs

As you know, the Sigean Standardisation Committe (SSC) has spent the last 5 years, months, days, weeks, minutes considering a possible revision to the size of ATC's , that is, at present, 2.5 x 3.5 inches.

The SSC has concluded that this size is way too small, and is recommending a larger size to be immediately adopted throughout the artistic community.

The new, revised size for ATCs is from now on 71 x 39…

ADOPT A PUNNEKIN FOR 2015! (please)

Would you like to adopt a Punnekin for 2015? It would get your New Year off to a very good start.

What, you might ask, is a 'Punnekin'?

I'm none the wiser, Val. What's a 'Punnekin' or a 'Tricotaine' or whatever you want to call it?

It's a length of crocheted wool produced by a process that the English call 'French knitting' based on a 'Knitting Dolly'. Suus in Mokkum and…

"Why there's a cryptic puzzle in the post"

is the title of a not very good, sort of Mail Art article by Harry Wallop in today's, 17 July, (UK) Daily Telegraph -- telegraph.co.uk

It is helpful in explaining how post codes work in the UK, and how the Post Office tries to deliver seemingly undeliverable mail.

However, Wallop and the bloke he is writing about seem to think that they have discovered Mail Art...and puzzles in the post, citing Harriet Russel's 2008 book 'Envelopes'. But, and it's a big 'but', it completely…

ARE YOU RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS, DEAN? IS EDMUND RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS, ERNI?

Things have never been the same in Sigean -- especially rue de la Vieille Fontaine -- since Dean spent a few days here last month; Apart from (many) other things, all sorts of Geocachers, are invading my Impasse, and terrorising the bird house.

Look what I found at the end of the road this morning:…
