"Why there's a cryptic puzzle in the post"

is the title of a not very good, sort of Mail Art article by Harry Wallop in today's, 17 July, (UK) Daily Telegraph -- telegraph.co.uk

It is helpful in explaining how post codes work in the UK, and how the Post Office tries to deliver seemingly undeliverable mail.

ARE YOU RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS, DEAN? IS EDMUND RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS, ERNI?

Things have never been the same in Sigean -- especially rue de la Vieille Fontaine -- since Dean spent a few days here last month; Apart from (many) other things, all sorts of Geocachers, are invading my Impasse, and terrorising the bird house.

MY EXHIBITION "ABORIGINAL ART" OPENED LAST SATURDAY.....

...at le Galerie du Chateau in Sigean, France.

In the Exhibition are 45 paintings, 9 boomerangs, Gordon le Gourd, and 20 Morning Star Poles. Aboriginal music was very kindly provided (via CDs) by Rose.

More than 60 people attended the opening of the Exhibition, including the Mayor and the Deputy Mayor -- both of whom made speeches (to which I had to reply).

There have been lots of visitors since, but -- sadly -- not one has taken up my suggestion to be body-painted à…
