Mail from Kiera

I received a nice piece from Kiera. "Something I Left". It looks like an Oscar fish. Inside the fish it says Quebec and superstition. This is a labor intensive piece so I really appreciate getting it. Thank you Kiera.

Goodbye Angie

Last Saturday Angie Cope shut down her site and left us. It was a long time coming. I really liked Angie a lot. She was there for everybody. She participated in conversations. She was very funny. I enjoyed her art and her as a human being. Angie sent me a long email after she left. She didn't feel IOUMA was right for her. She also said at times she was treated less than nice. She didn't feel like enough of an artist for us. All so sad to me. She's on a Ning site she feels more suited for. So… Continue

Mail from Marie Wintzer

I received a very nice collage from Marie yesterday. It is true to what I've seen of her work...beautifully subtle. Just the right amount of color for me. I will enjoy having this piece in my collection for a long time and I know we will correspond more. My turn now! Thanks Marie for getting us started.

Received from Bifidus Jones

This is my type of piece...mysterious. Bifidus has written short missives all over this work. Some not quite readable. I love it. The envelope is a first day issue! I used to collect stamps as a kid. Always wanted one of those. On the back of the envelope, his talent for writing shines as he writes what almost reads like a journal entry. A sad one. All in all it is a well thought out beautiful, emotional piece. Thank you Bifidus.…

Received from Angie Cope

My good friend Angie had noticed Erni's blog about my sending him a big box of paper. So she, in her kind snookie way sent me an envelope with at least a 1/2 lb of wonderful paper...etc! I LOVED IT! Yeah yeah I'm trying to declutter my studio, but an artist HAS to has a paper pile.....MANDATORY! So Thank you Angie! The scan in no way does it justice.…

Broken Scanner

I Have been receiving wonderful M.A. from artists all over the past week or so and I was hoping to get it all scanned and thank everyone this weekend. My scanner seems to be stuck. It lights up bup the light doesn't move. I hope I can get it repaired but doubt that. ANYWAY>>>>>I have people to thank:

Elaine The Librarian sent a wonderful piece about her first typewriter. Typed with transparent colorful keys over the typing. And the words "tap...tap...tap".… Continue

Sir Erni sent me a Gift

Well I tried to scan it but didn't come out. Erni made this wonderful assemblage box for me. It has the Erni trademark bright colors. He gets his green and yellow by inserting a sponge in the box. It goes on like that. In the box is a cut out statement "Karmic Management". Also "Lost in Repression?...just control yourself". HE even sent along candy for me to eat while I'm looking at it. What a friend you are Erni....Thank you! Oh yeah, is Grigori with you?

From South Africa....Cheryl Penn's Art

I've been looking forward to getting mail from Cheryl. She sent me a note with the piece but I very often can't read cursive so you guys can have at it, I love pieces with fiber a lot. always have. That's probably why I put cords on many of my own works.Cheryl's piece is about Pollack and IS wonderful!
