Meeah Williams fat envelope full of wisdom and visual delights!

Not every piece of mail art can manage to pack enough into it that you could teach a course on mail art, writing and painting with it.  Meeah has done that with her fat envelope!…

Cheryl Penn's aesthetic

I am never expecting Cheryl's mail art to be as sublime as it is.  It's not that I don't know that Cheryl's work is as good as it is.  Cheryl's work has a way of surprising me.

In the past few days I have had two pieces from Cheryl.  One was her latest zine and the other was her latest book for The Encyclopedia of Everything.  I have blogged both…

Another pop up show for Memories are Made of This!

Delighted to have another IUOMA 25 year exhibition in a few weeks.  This one will be in Suffolk UK. There is still time to send mail that will  hang in the windows of this Edwardian Library in the heart of a market town.

Faces of Universal Tragedies 7 from Guido Vermeulen

Guido's original envelope arrived in one of those we're sorry envelopes.  It was not damaged, I guess some cautious postal clerk wanted to make sure this parcel made it in its totality - I guess the ink made the envelope feel a bit delicate. …

Vizma's surprising combinations

Vizma is a mistress of combination. How many people can segue with authority between Flexus and flacks of paper pulp (not lint as I thought when looking at the original, but can see clearly in the scan this altered trashpo) You can see the blog with more and both sides, here:…

Tamara Wyndham sends a pair of memories

Tamara sent me two pieces of mail art.  This is a fragment from her painted-altered postcard.  Sometimes a postcard is able to transmit am emotion and for me this does - I guess that's VISPO.

The other card Tamara sent me is from her deceased friend, Elizabeth Obelenus.

Together they make quite a pair.

To see both visit:…

An. U. sends me a memory of a summer I might have had

Never mind the slightly fuzzy scan, An. U. has sent me some wonderfully haptic things that are absolutely captivating and convince me that once upon a time I was there doing that, thinking those things and feeling that way.

Don't miss the rest of this ATC, another equally beautiful ATC and a collage that I think could be the start of a gothic trash…

To blog or not to blog?

Two people let me off the hook recently, telling me that I REALLY didn't need to blog their mail art.  I ignored them.  Do you think I should have?

And the winner of the MOBMA sort of monthly competition is...

Knukcle crack, heavy sigh and tee hee of delight.  After careful deliberation, and discussion with all members of the Moss/Kehoe/ Guyver clan around the dinner table, it is clear that nothing could be in worse taste than the semi-anonymous going for gold wildly inappropriate dental advice.

I want to thank Thom for opening up a family discussion about the meaning and purpose of art and will be sending him an appropriate present soon. …
