Because it's FUN! sending art gifts and random mail with no expectations, the element of surprise....Being a friendly global neighbor, connecting with people everywhere. Good will for all, making the world a better place, happiness....

I'm interested in the history of Mail Art and how it's evolving over time--all of the creativity that's still going on, so many ideas, and anyone is welcome to share, collaborate, experiment.

Just for SQUARES!

There was a prompt from CreativeSprint to make something just using squares. I'd forgotten how I'd learned to love squares while teaching 2D design with Wucius Wong and Josef Albers Interaction of Color (years ago) I thought, Wow, there must be other Square lovers out there. Thanks to Katerina for the name idea. See More

Dear Robin,

I am very happy. I sent a collage without an envelope and was worried. Next time I will send in an envelope.

I wish you and your loved ones a peaceful, creative autumn!

Thanks a lot for the kind welcome! Even though I dropped out of Mail Art for awhile, I never stopped making faux postage, collages, or rubber stamp art. I made some faux postcard art for a Route 66 photo show I did in 2000, and a couple of years later a boss of mine wanted me to learn a shopping cart software program. I had been daydreaming a lot about making art stamps to sell so I made the postmarks from my art show pieces into rubber stamps and then made enough designs to get a whole sheet manufactured. It was so much fun I've continued to get sheets made from time to time. I'm going to check out your page and links to see what Mail  Artists are doing in the present day! Thank you very much!
