Profile Information

Mail-Artist since:
June 2010. I made my first set of faux stamps and am now hooked!
My Website (without http://):
Why I am involved in Mail-Art:
Because it's fun. I love getting things in the post and it occurred to me that perhaps it's time to start making mail a bit more interesting and creative. I make zines and I love writing to penpals, so this is an extension of that.
My Mail-Adress (snail and/or E-mail)
I'd rather not give my snail mail address away here as you don't have to be a member to read profiles, but you can email me for it.

The Queen is Dead.

Posted on June 9, 2015 at 2:47pm 0 Comments

No, not Queen Elizabeth; that was just a silly rumour! No, Queen Inara the Munificent of the Cluckdom of Rhydgaled left this world in november last year. She was 11 years old and had suffered three strokes over the past two years. She laid hundreds of magnificent eggs and ruled over all the citizens of Rhydgaled. She is succeeded by the Grand Duchess Shelley. The Grand Duchess will shortly be opening the postal service in the Grand Duchy of Rhydygwin. New stamps will be issued!

Keep Calm!

Posted on January 17, 2013 at 3:54pm 2 Comments

I've made a set of stamps that are based on the "Keep Calm" poster. Mine read "keep calm and write letters" and are in red, purple and green. Typical though. I wanted to cut them using the stamp-edged Fiskars scissors I have. But could I find them? Could I heck as like! I ended up cutting them with several pairs of other craft scissors and now my right thumb is suffering. Ah, the joys of arthritis!

Since I last wrote I have also made another set of hen…

I made my first set of stamps a few days ago. They are nothing special, just some clip art of a hen that I recoloured for each one. I was inspired by my two hens, Inara and Shelley, to create a new currency: eggs! 1be means that the stamp is worth one bantam egg. I will make higher priced stamps which will cost a bre, or a black rock egg. (Shelley being a bantam, and Inara, a black rock hen.)

I wanted to have somewhere for my stamps to have come from, so I named my "post"…
