Thanks Petrolpetal. If you have any floppy disks that you don't want, I'd be very, very greatful if you could send them to me. Thank you.

FinnBadger: thanks to you, too. You can see  more of this sort of art in the Aboriginal Art' then 'Works' section of my web-site www.val-herman-art.eu

Not sure why, but this mandala makes me think of brains!

And Valentine, the first picture you showed is amazing. (others are good, too, but the first one blew me away).

Your dots are actually quite Mandala-ish : regular, circular, meditative - but also different. I just might have a ton of floppy discs in my office . I honestly can't remember if I threw them out or not. Your floppy art is fun - I especially like Pac man. I ran out of space with the 12 inches so the 7 inches would not have be easy. I have an idea for a series of 26 vinyls but I'll wait till you have seen what I've done so far before I bounce it off you!

Thanks. It is because your mandelas are not repetitive thatg they are so good. Many of the repetitive ones look like they have probably been (and I'm sure many have been) computer generatd and even computer drawn.

I've never gotten into asemic writing. I don't see te point of a lot of it. I'm more attracted to calligraphy.

NOpe, I don't do Mandelas -- they are a bit too structured for my liking. The nearest i come to them is the patterns in my faux Aboriginal art like these:

Last, but not least, thank you in advance for the Four Vinyls. I will let you know when they arrive. I must admit that when I set this project up, I hadn't realised that the cost of postage for 12 inch records would be so high. If I had, I might have chosen 7 inch records. But Vinyl Art is fun, I think, and the big records offer many more possibilities than the smaller ones.

Have you any old floppy disks? I might do an exhibition on those, and they arfe light and cheap to send...but very hard to get hold of.

Have a Super Sunday, Val

Thanks - to me they do seem a bit repetitive. I think the next challenge I set myself will be to incorporate some asemic writing into the mandalas. I've never tried asemic writing before but I've been reading up about it and its quite interesting ( and difficult to do, I suspect)! I actually sent your vinvyls off today - they told me 10-14 working days. You better treat them like gold - the cost of postage was frighteningly high. Next time I will just pop over and deliver them by hand! I really had fun doing them! How about some mandalas from you now??

I like your mandelas, 'cos they are irregular, different and not repetitive. This is my favourite one .
