Why I am involved in Mail-Art:
These are my people, and making stuff is what I do: currently letterpress printing and fauxstage stamps. I am so lucky to have a perforator! Proprietor of Audax Press.

Disclaimer: I am unironically "woke." If you send me something that I think is racist or sexist or exploitative or dehumanizing, there's a better than 50:50 chance that I will say so (I hope); this does NOT mean I think you are a bad person! It does mean I think you have probably led a sheltered life and need to get out more. Consider how your words and actions affect others, especially those with less power and status than you, ESPECIALLY those who are in physical danger due to being who they are. Not remaining silent when faced with unconscious disrespect of others, or worse yet, conscious disrespect, is a charge put upon me that I may not deny. Silence is violence. I'm guilty too. No one's perfect, but we must try to do better. And we must succeed. Sorry, not sorry.

"How exciting! Coincidentally, I am currently working on a linocut/letterpress broadside called the Celestial Circus!"   Oh Lord, that´s absolutely celestial to say the least.

05.01.22 Dare Ms.Gwendolynium, ... just wanted to add my two cents concerning the Ray Johnson bunny. My interpretation is that is not a third ear but rather merely a shadow of one of the ears. Also, the initial Ray J. bunny is simply based on the commonplace & classic  bunny drawing that any & every child/adult quickly gestures . I think that's why he (Johnson) chose it ...& I must confess ,  I missed the readily  obvious  pun that  Ms. Katerina N. points out with "Rayndeer". .....& finally, Mister Ruud Janssen's adoption & proliferation of Ray  Johnson's bunny for us all has proven to be a most noteworthy Homage to the artist Ray Johnson.   Sincelery, Richard Canard

My gummed paper comes from Olathe Post (http://wcp-nm.com/osc/catalog/) only place I’ve ever been able to find it. Are there other places to get it?

I perf my own on an old foot operated perforator! I can perf some sheets for you if you want, you know where to send them!
  • Bradford

There are other vendors, but Olathe Post (Bill Porter) is the best recommendation.  He has many other items related to Mail Art and is a member here; one of us!
