Hi Mim, thanks for the beautiful postcard! Good for you for the Vote postcards! I do that occasionally. I am having trouble posting photos, my old iPad takes forever.
Wrestled most of the day trying to celebrate your Snail.Think Now I was having local server problems. Also a struggle to enter your name without being corrected post facto to Kim or on or whatever. had proofread comment and it seemed to be Mim’s until it was posted as Mom’s ,sigh.
Great. it has been unprecedented statewide heat ave with rolling power outages and internet service interruptions ,so I could not reply earlier. Now we are having dramatic lightening and thunder storms that I actually like. They are a rarity here.Unfortunately, probably leading to wildfires that might result in the kind of air pollution we had the last 2 years during the fire season. At one point we had the dirtiest air in the world.Have been spoiled for much of my lingering having relatively clean or washed by ocean breezes and winds. I like your Sunday morning creations.
Mim, thanks for your comment! Just saw it. Yes, here in Hong Kong we're experiencing the third wave of the pandemic. The number of infections has been decreasing though, which is a good news. I am new to mail art. Really excited to be part of the community.
Hello Mim. Im pleased the art mail arrived to you. I did post that i didnt want anymore add n passes, at that time i had a lot accumilate with me and it took me some time to get them outgoing to interested parties. im not actively seeking to be an add n passer, but if one sneaks in somehow i will add to it and send onwards.
i much prefer the atc jams and deco swap bookies. i like to swap atcs postcards etc. and i have my own altered books and visual art journals at home to dip into.
do let me know if atc jams arent really your thing,i can easily and happily send occasional art mail that you dont need to forward on.
Today I got the add & pass you sent, Mim. Oh dear, I'm afraid it's not entirely self-explanatory to me. Can anyone just start an add & pass and send it to whomever they choose? Do you add on to the original piece or add a new one and send both/all? Is the idea to keep to the same theme? Is there an end point? Someone commented that there are No Rules with mail art. But I'm a person who asks a lot of questions and needs a bit more guidance. Thanks!
Thank you for your invitation. "Your smile" is just what we need during this pandemic Covid19 horror. Like a night mare, but the night seems to be quite long and there is no way to wake up earlier. Stay healthy and be happy.
OH NO!!.. I guess my mail-forwarding is already expired!! Im really sorry about that. I know it's a hassle, but thanks for resending. I appreciate it! I tried to post my new address as soon as it was certain to avoid any mishaps, but I guess I was too slow. Thank you.
Hi Mim, Thanks for your comment. I think the new glue I've been using is to blame for the circle coming off in transit from my neck of the woods to yours! :(
My mother is slow to recover from illnesses, suffers from other illnesses again, and gets better again. I really hope for the best.
On April 7, 2022, a very important event occurred, the US Treasury Department removed the export, sale, supply of telecommunications technology, software and internet communications equipment to Russia from sanctions. Since then, Russian Internet users have breathed a sigh of relief. This means that the whole technical base for telephony and for the Internet in Russia will continue to live on, just as long as no specific networks are blocked, as happened with Facebook. Every day I look at the IUOMA website with anxiety, what if I am blocked from entering, and I am convinced otherwise. In my opinion, no matter what happens, governments of different countries should not block communications between individuals. I'll go to the post office on Monday and check my box!
Hello Mim, thanks for adding me as a friend. I'm frantically preparing for an exhibition of stamps at the Gardens Gallery in Cheltenham (link below). It's called 'THE MIND'S I - Bridging Perception and Reality' (11th-17th May), I'm one of four artists showing. I'll upload some some of the images when I have a moment. Good to hear from you. Chris.
Hi Mim, thank you for the pretty collage and a funny story about falling over. Accidents are often funnier, wenn we look back at them. I am almost on that point now. ;-D We are going on a twice postponed (Corona) beach holiday. Me, with a bandage now. It has a comedy potentia, I guessl. I put something for you in the mail soon! Best wishes, Kate
